A Conversation Involving Anxiety and Mental Health

By Marguerite Thomson

Conversations and Keynotes from the 2019 CPCO Conference held in Toronto on November 21-22. The theme for this year's conference, Compassion: Leading with Heart, attracted over 200 Catholic school leaders from across Ontario.

In this episode, the Support Services Team invite Kate Remiz and Jennifer Harvey (Principals with Durham Catholic District School Board) to join in a conversation about mental health and anxiety. They have been supporting students and staff for many years and share some of the causes and symptoms of mental health concerns as well as some practical ideas of how we an support ourselves as Catholic leaders. The conversation is practical, interesting and engaging. For those Catholic Administrators interested in learning more they can participate in the module (AQ) Kate and Jennifer have created entitled: Understanding Anxiety: Supporting Staff and Students which is currently advertised on the CPCO website under the professional learning PDC AQ Upcoming Sessions tab.
