Practicing Presence with Dr. Lisa Lucas
Dr. Lisa Lucas is an Associate Professor at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Lisa observes that most teachers enter the field of education to make a difference in children’s lives. But many end up “tired, wired, and running in circles.” Her recently-released book, Practicing Presence: Self-Care Strategies for Teachers offers specific strategies that teachers can use to avoid burnout, become more attuned and attentive to the work that they are doing and the children with whom they are working.
Join Lisa and Stephen Hurley on this four-week journey of exploring the habits and practices that can lead to a deeper sense of connection and fulfillment in the work that we do.
