Privacy, Security and Proctoring ft. Bonnie Stewart

By Hurley in The Morning

Highlights from our flagship live morning radio program, Hurley in the Morning, heard on voicEd Radio daily from 5:30-10:00 AM ET

Dr. Bonnie Stewart is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at University of Windsor. She drops by today to talk about a recent piece she wrote for The Conversation, “Online exam monitoring can invade privacy and erode trust at universities’.

We talk about some of the points made in the article, some of the broader issues around privacy and security when using technology at post-secondary and how these issues might allow us to consider alternatives to the traditional high-stakes exam protocols so familiar to post-secondary students and faculty.
