Teacher leaders are teachers who aspire to stretch beyond their classrooms to engage in leadership roles that take many shapes and forms, both “informal” and “formal”. When educators aspire to be in formal leadership, they go through many hurdles to achieve positions such as consultant or administrator, but what happens when they get there? Noa Daniel MEd, is a classroom teacher in the York Region District School Board outside Toronto, Canada. Through her consulting work at Building Outside the Blocks, she creates personalizing projects and initiatives for schools, boards, and communities. Noa is the Co-Founder and Director of The Mentoree, a mentorship community for educators. She is also a blogger, a children’s book author and podcaster.
