Gutter Child ft. Jael Richardson

By Hurley in The Morning

Highlights from our flagship live morning radio program, Hurley in the Morning, heard on voicEd Radio daily from 5:30-10:00 AM ET

Jael Richardson is a Canadian author, speaker and activist. She is the founder and executive director of the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD) and has just come out with her first novel, Gutter Child.

In this poignant conversation, we talk about the creation of the dystopian world that forms the context for the book, how her characters deal with the oppression and inequity in the book, as well as Jael’s own views on systemic change.
