EP 03 Pam Damoff in conversation with HYI

By Siobhan Laverdiere

This podcast series, created by the Halton Youth Initiative, is designed to share some Indigenous truth as one of the next steps in the journey towards truth and reconciliation in Canada. We will be discussing topics which lead to learning about the indigenous community and learning how Canada can do better in supporting them. We want to share our knowledge and spread awareness of the issues faced by indigenous communities and raise up Indigenous voices.

This episode touches on some steps toward reconciliation in our community as the hosts Ethan and Wardah talk with Federal MP Pam Damoff, representing her riding of Oakville North-Burlington. MP Damoff currently serves as the parliamentary secretary to the minister of Indigenous Services in Ottawa. We ask about her role involving politics and indigenous communities as well as engaging in conversation with a hope to shed light on many of these prevalent issues.
