This podcast series, created by the Halton Youth Initiative, is designed to share some Indigenous truth as one of the next steps in the journey towards truth and reconciliation in Canada. We will be discussing topics which lead to learning about the indigenous community and learning how Canada can do better in supporting them. We want to share our knowledge and spread awareness of the issues faced by indigenous communities and raise up Indigenous voices.

In this first episode, Wardah and Julia discuss education on the topic of the indigenous community in Canada and ways that the schools could improve their teachings. They also read responses from other students to see how each experience differs in where and when they were able to obtain their knowledge about the indigenous peoples.
