I am excited to be part of this new initiative that has the potential to bring together the various voices regarding education in Canada today. I have learned that the best way to bring about change is to include all voices, listen carefully, ask questions and attempt to find common ground. Before I get on my soapbox, let me introduce myself!
I am a teacher with a little under 10 years’ experience both in face-to-face and online classrooms, but the majority of my experience has been on-line. For the most part, I have taught high school English in the Grande Prairie area of Northern Alberta. Within a month I will have completed my Masters of Education in Information Technology and with the changes coming to Alberta Education in regards to technology, I am excited to bring about the most effective way to support student learning.
