I worked for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board as an educator for twenty-three years. I taught various grades at the elementary level, served as a Program Consultant, a Vice-Principal, and a Principal.
I purchased a Williams Fresh Cafe (Williams Coffee Pub) when I retired and successfully used Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and YouTube to engage guests in life of my restaurant.
My passion has been, and continues to be learning, whether it be children or adults.
I consider myself very fortunate to have been sitting down at a local cafe with Stephen Hurley when he shared his excitement about the hosting of an ‘edcamp’ unconference in Toronto. The planning of this event and the actual event was one of the highlights of my educational career.
